Coming up on Sunday, November 23, our instructor, Howard Latting, will be completing his 7th Degree Black Belt Test. This year-long test has been an inspiration to us all, and we're very excited to see Howard achieve his new rank. Additionally, there will be a celebration with the rest of the WMAA for all Black Belt candidates testing that day. This includes our students Annie Grunewald and Becky Hansen.

Here are the details for the test itself: Bay Ridge Prep Lower School Gym, 8101 Ridge Boulevard, Brooklyn NY. Doors open at 10:30a, event starts at 11a. All are welcome to participate in the special practice. Spectator fees will be collected at the door, $5/child, $7/adult.

And the party will be at Bay Ridge Manor, just a few blocks away at 476 76th Street in Brooklyn. The party starts at 3p and runs to 7p, it will feature six items from the smorgasbord, two from the carving table, a seasonal salad, and an open bar, for just $50 per person.
