Due to the 40th Annual Tae Kwon Do in the Mountains Retreat (there's still time for last second sign-ups), the Atlantic Avenue Studio will be closed from Saturday, August 10 through Sunday, August 18. Normal schedule will resume Monday, August 19.

The annual summer trip is always a great experience for all students, but this year is a special anniversary of the art in nature. It's also Howard's 40th anniversary in the art!

Due to the 25th Anniversary of the CAMBA club, the 6:15pm Tae Kwon Do and 7pm Tai Chi classes are cancelled. Instead, we encourage all students to attend and participate in the demonstration. Here's the details:

This event will mark our 30th Anniversary at Trevor Day School! As we come to the end of the year, we have some exciting events coming up. First is the WMAA Fall National Tournament on Saturday, May 4. The event will start at noon (doors open at 11:30am) and will be at the Bay Ridge Prep Lower School, 8101 Ridge Boulevard in Brooklyn. Save time and money by preregistering online, even if you elect to pay at the door. Immediately following the tournament there will be a Black Belt Test, which is always inspiring to watch.
Due to that event we will have a modified schedule on Saturday, May 4, where the normally-scheduled noon Open Tae Kwon Do class will be running concurrently with the 9am class
Then on Monday, June 3 at 5:30pm at Trevor Day School, 1 West 88th Street in Manhattan, WMA Karate will be hosting our end of year demonstration and lower belt test. It's the one time a year we can all get together and practice. We look forward to seeing you there!

We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the World Martial Arts Association's Spring National Tournament. The event is on Saturday, May 4, at noon (doors is 11:30am) and it's open to students of all ages, and all belt levels through Third Degree Black Belt. The event will be held at the Bay Ridge Prep Lower School, 8101 Ridge Boulevard in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Practicing the art under the rigors of competition is an excellent way to improve and have a great time, too! If you pre-register online, you will save $15, even if you elect to pay at the door. Immediately following the tournament will be the Black Belt Test.

All students who were eligible for the March 3 promotion test but did not attend are welcome to take a make-up exam on Saturday, March 30 at the Atlantic Avenue Studio. The test will be immediately following the noon Tae Kwon Do class – start time is approximately 1pm. Folks who are testing are welcome to attend the noon class as well, although it is not required.

Due to the WMAA Children's Tournament (Saturday, March 2 at noon, registration still available) we are announcing a modified schedule:
The 10:30am Taiji class has been moved to Sunday, March 3 at 10:30am
The noon Tae Kwon Do class will be run concurrently with the 9am Tae Kwon Do class at 9am. All ages are welcome
Additionally, we have a Lower Belt Test and Demonstration on Sunday, March 3 at 1:30pm at the Atlantic Avenue Studio. We look forward to seeing you there.
